Standards

Standards

As a company FWG strive to achieve the highest standards in terms of quality and ethical responsibility.
We work closely with all our retail partners and suppliers to ensure that these philosophies underpin everything we do.
  • Quality Assurance

FWG has a dedicated Quality Assurance (QA) team that is supported by a number of QA partners to help ensure that the right resource is applied at the right point in the supply chain so that a great product is consistently produced, shipped and delivered to the customer.

FWG rates the quality of all products and all factories, recording previous issues with production, returns and spare requests. Based upon all this information a decision is taken when the Purchase Order is placed as to what QA approach will be taken, ranging from simple sampling to full in run production checking.

Our own team, with the support of our overseas QA resources, are dedicated to ensure that all products conform to the pre-agreed specifications in the purchase and pre-order sample process.

  • Sustainable Wood Supply Compliance

FWG regularly audits all aspects of its business practice to ensure itself and its retail partners conform to the highest standards required under ethical, environmental, sourcing and compliance mandates.

FWG’s supply base is also audited regularly by its major retail partners and their support organisations. FWG’s own Quality Assurance team monitor any outstanding action plans and ensure corrective actions are addressed and rectified.

FWG are fully compliant with the EU Timber Regulation directive (EC 995-2010) which lays down the obligations of operators who place timber and timber products on the market.

FWG is constantly investing in its audit and compliance processes to ensure it can provide the best possible service to its retail partners.

FWG sets a high priority on these issues and understands that there is increasing industry focus in the areas of ethical trading and sustainable wood supply.
